Project wins Parthian and Library of Wales Award for Outstanding impact in Culture, the Arts and Sport

The positive work to regenerate the Hafod-Morfa Copperworks achieved recognition in June, winning the Parthian and Library of Wales Award for Outstanding impact in Culture, the Arts and Sport. The award commended the initial research into the copper industry and work to raise the profile of Swansea’s leading role in the global copper industry, which acted as a catalyst for the current phase of the site’s regeneration. The projects approach to engagement was also praised.

Let’s hope we can continue to develop both research and community engagement as the development of the site progresses!
