The City and County of Swansea have received an additional £200,000 for the refurbishment of the Bascule Bridge, pictured here. This complements an existing £550,000 that is earmarked for the work and reaches the target for work to start. The next step is to apply to Cadw for the work to begin. So, it is looking positive that the Bascule Bridge may be usable again n the not to distant future.
