Interviewing Ivor
Student volunteers Abbi and Charles recently carried out two oral history interviews with Ivor Williams, who along with his wife Mor was employed by Yorkshire Imperial Metals at Landore in the 1960s and 1970s.

Ivor donated numerous photographs from his time at Landore and the interviews were intended to bring them to life as Ivor viewed and discussed each one.

The interviews truly achieved their objective, Ivor was not short of stories to tell! The results will be developed into a presentation for the website, and Ivor will be interviewed about his experiences at a Heritage Skills event later this spring.

Fascinating to see photos of a place I knew well, from the outside. My father, Ivor Newbury, worked at the Morfa Works as a furnace man and brass caster for 40 years until his retirement, due to ill health, at the age of 60 in 1967
