Volunteer session: wild flower meadow maintenance
August 20, 2015 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
The wildflowers have been looking fantastic at the site this summer, and includes a good variety of species including poppy, daisy, clover, cornflower, viper’s bugloss, evening primrose, cornflower and bramble. There are also a few flowers that are doing a little two well, ribbed melilot and a yellow flowering brassica that we need to manage.
Our volunteer team will be joined by Rose Revera from The Wildlife Trust on the evening of 20th August (4.30-7pm) who will advise us on how to manage the wild flower meadow, and attract and monitor wildlife on the site. More volunteers are always welcome.
